If you haven’t already read in my last post on Rome, It was no surprise to me that the shopping there was fantastic! The streets are literally lined with high end fashion stores, small independent boutiques, and my favourite… vintage and thrift stores.
I have always had a fascination with the various decades. The Swingin’ 60’s, Funky 70’s, the Totally Tubular 80’s 😉 I wish I could time travel and just be a fly on the wall to admire the music and fashion of the years past.
We explored a handful of vintage shops in Rome, but there are two that truly stood out for me. They both had a special energy about them. I’m sure a combination of the locations, the store owners, and the fabulous finds inside.
I could get lost foreverrrrrr discovering treasured items, making up stories in my mind about who owned what, and wore what, and to which events. Why they gave up their beloved items and who would enjoy them next?
I was totally drawn to the store entrance of Omero and Cecilia. Baby soft leather bags and purses, and brightly coloured frocks framed the doorway. And upon entering, greeted by both Omero and Cecilia – two of the most alluring and fascinating people – I felt at home.
This store is filled with fantastic finds! Divine coats and jackets of yummy velvet and tweed. Super rad military shirts, some of the most beautiful church shoes, classic heals and cowboy boots I’ve ever seen!
I picked up a fabulous bag that is one of my absolute all time favourites I have ever owned!

I think hands down, my favourite was our visit to Cinzia Vestiti Usati. I could have stayed in that store for hours. Literally SO much to see!
This store had so many amazing little trinkets, odds and ends, and home decor items. Owned by a former costume designer, I let my hands, eyes and mind wander amongst the screen printed T’s, classic jeans, posters, records, designer sunglasses, retro skirts, shirts and more!
