A quaint fishing village located 16 KM east of La Romana, on the shore of the Caribbean Sea. The most stunning sunsets, fresh delicious sea food, super chill island vibes. Bayahibe easily makes it into my top 10 list of favourite little towns on the island of the Dominican Republic.
Recently, I had the pleasure of enjoying a mini weekend getaway to Bayahibe. Staying at the super cute Aparta-Hotel Villa Baya for only $50USD a night. Service at the hotel was great! Very friendly, and knowledgable staff. Free wifi – very clean rooms, with cute rustic charm. A quick 5 minute walk from the hotel takes you right to the beach, with some fabulous beach front restaurants, including one of my favourites, Playa Barco Bar .
We did have the opportunity to visit a new beach club – Restaurante Alkquimia, Which offered stunning views of the Caribbean sunset and sea. Unfortunately, during our visit -the infinity pools were under construction, so we were not able to enjoy the full amenities of the venue.
It was a relaxing trip that seemed to be over in a blink of an eye, can’t wait to visit again!
