A global pandemic. A revolution. A universal shift.

There is no doubt that it has been a very intense year. Significantly intensifying the last few months following the death of unarmed Black men and women in the US including Ahmaud Arbery, George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Tony McDade.

A heightened push in the fight against Racism, not only in the US but world wide. We have been suffering for years, and we are strengthening our fight for the lives of my fellow Black brothers and sisters. #BlackLivesMatter is not a trend. It’s not just an organization. It is a MOVEMENT.

I personally was hit VERY hard by these events. A whole spiral of emotions has happened. Past personal traumas from my own experiences with Racism have been brought to the surface. A realization that I also have much healing to do.

While I have been fighting to help spread awareness, share the message, resources, and connect with my community. Reconnecting with MYSELF everyday is just as important. Taking time to rest my mind, body, and soul. Rejuvenate my spirit, is essential. I wanted to share some of my favourite spiritual grounding techniques I use to re center.

Grounding is about achieving tranquillity by redirecting energy downward. Feeling grounded is not just essential for our physical bodies, but also our minds. Grounding techniques are ways to remove yourself from stressful or chaotic energies, and situations. To bring peace, reconnect with your body, mind and soul. And realign your energy.
